IS100 - Introduction to Information Technology and Applications

IS100 course is a must course for undergraduate students in METU. The aim of the course is to introduce the basic information technology concepts and applications to the students and make them both computer and information literate. They are expected to use these basic skills during their undergraduate studies as well as their professional lives. The course includes the following topics: operating systems, information resources, document processing, ethics, electronic presentations, data analysis and spreadsheets. The course uses METU-Online learning management system as a supportive tool. Students are able to use the lecture notes, videos, simulations, tutorials via this system.
